Cannibal Corpse Discography Album
Butchered at Birth (1991)
Butchered at Birth is the second studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1991 through Metal Blade Records. The album was banned in Germany, due to the violent artwork. The first pressings of the compact disc were wrapped in white butcher paper stamped with the band logo and album title in red ink. Butchered at Birth's cover also drew a complaint from the Ontario Provincial Police in Canada, which led to record stores being told not to sell the album to persons under 18

Tomb of the Mutilated (1992)
Tomb of The Mutilated is the third studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1992 through Metal Blade Records and is the last album featuring founding guitarist Bob Rusay. The album was banned in Germany until June 2006, due to the extreme nature of the lyrics.
Because the liner notes on Tomb of the Mutilated feature quotations from American serial killer Albert Fish, Fish is often incorrectly credited with being the voice at the beginning of "Addicted to Vaginal Skin". However, the taped confession heard at the beginning of the song most likely belongs to the "Genesee River Killer" Arthur Shawcross.[1]
The song "Hammer Smashed Face" was featured during the band's cameo appearance in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. The song "I Cum Blood" is also featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned on the Liberty City Hardcore station.

The Bleeding (1994)
The Bleeding is the fourth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released in 1994 through Metal Blade Records. It is the last album featuring singer and founding member Chris Barnes and is the first album featuring guitarist Rob Barrett. According to Soundscan numbers, The Bleeding is the fifth top-selling death metal LP in the United States, amassing over 98,300 copies sold. The Bleeding is also Cannibal Corpse's most successful album to date, and their first entry on the Billboard charts.[1][2][3]
A video was made for the song "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead." A re-master of this album is available and features new cover art, a bonus track (The Exorcist, a Possessed cover) and the music video of "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead."
This album signified a few changes for Cannibal Corpse, primarily the change in speed. The reason for this was because Barnes had decided he wanted to pursue a different musical angle. For this album, he chose a more "groove" style similar to what he was doing in Six Feet Under over Cannibal Corpse's previous material which focused more on blast beats and speed. Vocally on "The Bleeding" Chris had also decided to go for a more "decipherable" approach instead of his previously inhuman grunting he had executed on previous Cannibal Corpse albums.[4] The album is also notable for a much more technical approach for the guitar work.

Vile (1996)
Vile is the fifth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1996 through Metal Blade Records. It was originally titled Created to Kill (which is featured in the Cannibal Corpse Box set) and was recorded with founding vocalist Chris Barnes. Before the album was released, Barnes was kicked out of the band, which then brought in Monstrosity vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher to finish the album's vocal work. Fisher re-recorded all of the vocal tracks and the band released the album under the new title Vile. Vile also marks the last album featuring guitarist Rob Barrett until Kill, and features a brand new band logo, because the previous logo was owned and trademarked by the departing Chris Barnes.[citation needed]
During the Vile sessions, "The Undead Will Feast" from Eaten Back to Life was re-recorded with Fisher on vocals. This version of the song would appear on the Worm Infested EP in 2003.
The album was re-released in 2006 with new liner notes and a bonus DVD (entitled "Vile Live") featuring a full concert from the Vile tour, during which many songs from the album are performed.
Vile was the first death metal album to appear on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at No.151.[citation needed]
Vile was also the last Corpse album to feature Scott Burns as the producer.

This release marks the return of guitarist Rob Barrett, who had previously played on the The Bleeding and Vile albums. The European version of the album comes with a live DVD filmed in Strasbourg in 2004 called Hammer Smashed Laiterie. The album was produced at Mana Recording Studios by Hate Eternal guitarist Erik Rutan.
Music videos were produced for the tracks "Make Them Suffer" and "Death Walking Terror".
In the week following its release, Kill became the second Cannibal Corpse album to make an appearance on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at #170. The album has debuted at #6 in the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, and #16 in the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart.
The album has also been received quite positively by critics; Allmusic gave it a 3.5 out of 5 rating, stating that "Kill doesn't break any new ground for the veteran sickos, but if it ain't broke don't fix it -- just turn it up louder", Stylus Magazine given it a B+ rating and said that "The songcraft, catchiness, and cohesive energy of Kill make it one of Cannibal Corpse's best albums.", and About.com given it a 4.5 out of 5 rating, with the only pros being brutal, devastating death metal and no cons. Also Kerrang! Magazine in the UK gave the album their top rating, 5 Ks.
The Metal Force also noted that the album "shows no sign of this seminal death metal band slowing down. Kill is every bit as vicious as we’ve come to expect from Cannibal Corpse over the best part of the last two decades. With Rutan’s skilled production and 13 bruising tracks at hand, Cannibal Corpse have delivered a concise and technical slab of death metal which is their strongest in quite some time.
