Sonny John Moore (born January 15, 1988), better known by his stage name Skrillex, is an American electronic musician and singer-songwriter. Raised in Northeast Los Angeles and in Northern California, Moore joined the American post-hardcore band From First to Last as the lead singer in 2004, and recorded two studio albums with the band (Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count, 2004, and Heroine, 2006) before leaving to pursue a solo career in 2007. He began his first tour as a solo artist in late 2007. After recruiting a new band lineup, Moore joined the Alternative Press Tour to support bands such as All Time Low and The Rocket Summer, and appeared on the cover of Alternative Press' annual "100 Bands You Need to Know" issue. Facedown Records Released January 22, 2013 Reviewed by Anthony Peronto After two years Dynasty is back with their Facedown Records debut Beyond Measure that immensely improves upon their first album Truer Living with a Youthful Vengeance, which had some songs that sounded alike and contained no guest vocalists but was a solid album nevertheless. This time around the band has a solid list of guests ranging from secular, Christian, and even hip hop groups and continues to play a unyielding example of no-frills hardcore music. After the usual intro and the average “Brick By Brick” (that turns out to be the shortest song on the album) comes the standout, “Rise to Victory,” which is simple, intense, and has the best guest vocals on the album from Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant.
